Come down
to Odyssey Pavilion to visit William Mulhall's Art Gallery.
William Mulhall
first came to prominence in the 1970s with his original art work
for Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin were so impressed with his work that
Mulhall was invited to sit with the band on stage at their now classic
concert in the Belfast Hall on March 5th 1971. "When I met
them, they were still just shy lads. They asked me to come along
and sit up on the stage." Illustrated, feature articles on
his life and art have appeared in MOJO, GUITARIST, NME, HOT PRESS,
IN DUBLIN, SUNDAY TRIBUNE, BUSINESS PLUS, NEW YORK ART GUIDE. and
on RTE Radio One's RATTLEBAG.
Recently, Mulhall
has moved into new territory with his portrait from life of Nobel
Prize Winner Seamus Heaney. Mulhall met Heaney at his home in Dublin
and the two hit it off at once. 'Heaney is a Northern man like me
and there is a common link through the Northern experience.' The
painting now hangs in the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
